Mica McNeill exclusive interview: ‘The crowdfunding support was one of my career highlights but I really don’t want to ask again’
"I’ve had amazing support off DHL as well as some other sponsors. I would hope for my sponsors to continue supporting me and new sponsors to come on board."
Mica McNeill’s answer is immediate: “I’ve asked everyone to do it once, everyone stepped up to the plate and did their job, I wouldn’t ask that again.”
It was in September 2017 that McNeill and her bobsleigh team-mate Mica Moore turned to crowdfunding to keep their Winter Olympic dreams alive after their governing body announced there was no money left for the women’s programme.
